Ao encerrar o mês de março, o deputado estadual Roberto Cidade (UB), presidente da Assembleia Legislativa do Amazonas (Aleam), destaca a importância de legislação de sua autoria que fortalece a luta contra o câncer colorretal, um dos tipos mais incidentes na região Norte, segundo o Instituto Nacional de Câncer (Inca).
A Lei nº 6.053/2022 instituiu o “Março Azul Marinho” no calendário oficial do Estado, dedicando o mês à conscientização, prevenção e garantia de direitos dos pacientes em tratamento. Para o parlamentar, a data é essencial para mobilizar a população em torno de informações que podem salvar vidas.
“Este ano, o Inca divulgou um estudo que coloca o câncer colorretal como um dos mais incidentes entre homens e mulheres do Norte do país, por isso é fundamental que cada vez mais a gente possa conscientizar as pessoas sobre as formas de identificação da doença e, mais do que isso, como fazer para prevenir a ocorrência de casos. São aspectos que podemos melhorar no nosso dia a dia e a nossa lei busca reforçar essas iniciativas”, afirmou Cidade.
A doença está entre os cinco tipos de câncer mais frequentes tanto entre homens quanto entre mulheres. Nos homens, perde apenas para os cânceres de próstata, pulmão, estômago e cavidade oral. Já entre as mulheres, fica atrás dos tumores de mama, colo do útero, pulmão e tireoide.
De acordo com a lei, durante o “Março Azul Marinho”, devem ser promovidas campanhas informativas e preventivas sobre o câncer colorretal.
A iniciativa deve estar alinhada à campanha nacional criada em parceria pelo Ministério da Saúde e pela Sociedade Brasileira de Coloproctologia (SBCP), inspirada por uma mobilização da Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS).
O câncer colorretal afeta o intestino grosso, cólon, reto e ânus. Entre os principais sintomas estão:
•Diarreia ou constipação persistente;
•Sensação de esvaziamento incompleto do intestino;
•Presença de sangue nas fezes;
•Dor abdominal tipo cólica e inchaço abdominal;
•Cansaço e fadiga constantes;
•Perda de peso sem causa aparente.
