CINEASTA, CRONISTA E JORNALISTA ESTAVA INTERNADO HOSPITAL SÍRIO-LIBANÊS, NA REGIÃO CENTRAL DA CIDADE, DESDE DEZEMBRO, QUANDO SOFREU UM ACIDENTE VASCULAR CEREBRAL (AVC). ELE MORREU NA MADRUGADA DESTA TERÇA (15).
Ele estava internado desde dezembro do ano passado no Hospital Sírio-Libanês, na região central da cidade.
Jabor havia sido hospitalizado após sofrer um acidente vascular cerebral (AVC). De acordo com o boletim médico, “o paciente foi submetido a um procedimento vascular para desobstrução de coágulo e permaneceu em acompanhamento clínico por muitos dias. Ele foi acompanhado pelas equipes médicas coordenadas pelo dr. Rogério Tuma”, informou nota divulgada pelo hospital paulistano.
Segundo a família, ele faleceu por volta da meia-noite, em decorrência de complicações do AVC.
Nascido no Rio de Janeiro, em 1940, Arnaldo Jabor tornou-se conhecido como diretor de filmes fundamentais para o cinema brasileiro, como Toda Nudez Será Castigada, mas também trabalhou como técnico de som, crítico teatral, roteirista e colunista de jornais e televisão.
TRAJETÓRIA
Arnaldo Jabor teve extensa carreira dedicada ao cinema, à literatura e ao jornalismo. No cinema, dirigiu sete longas, dois curtas e dois documentários. Também era cronista e jornalista.
Formado no ambiente do Cinema Novo, Jabor participou da segunda fase do movimento, um dos maiores do país, conhecido por retratar questões políticas e sociais do Brasil inspirado no neorrealismo italiano e na nouvelle vague francesa.
Jabor dirigiu “Eu sei que vou te amar” (1986), indicado à Palma de Ouro de melhor filme do Festival de Cannes. Era colunista de telejornais da TV Globo desde 1991
