O presidente da Câmara Municipal de Manaus (CMM), vereador Caio André (União Brasil), denunciou, nesta segunda-feira (03/06), durante o Pequeno Expediente, o abandono da reforma da feira do Santo Antônio, na zona oeste da capital. Após o incêndio que destruiu boxes da feira em dezembro de 2023, o Executivo Municipal se comprometeu em entregar a obra até o fim do mês de maio deste ano, mas os reparos não foram concluídos.
“A verdade é que nós chegamos no final do mês de maio, e os permissionários não tiveram os seus boxes construídos. O que foi feito de forma improvisada e insalubre ao lado da feira, foi algo que nem eles puderam entrar naqueles boxes, pois esses espaços não servem para o que precisam, que é venda de materiais, venda de hortaliças, legumes. Mais uma vez a Prefeitura de Manaus prometeu algo que não cumpriu”, destacou Caio André.
Prometida pela primeira vez em 2022, quando fortes chuvas afetaram a estrutura da feira; e novamente em 4 de dezembro de 2023, após o incêndio. No mesmo mês do sinistro, os vereadores aprovaram a concessão do auxílio financeiro emergencial no valor de R$ 2 mil para os feirantes afetados pelo incêndio. O benefício foi pago em seis parcelas, encerrando neste mês de maio.
“Na última sexta-feira (31/05), chegou ao fim o auxílio que eles recebiam, e o que será desses permissionários? O que será a partir deste mês de junho, agora sem ter local para a venda de seus produtos? E sem o auxílio que foi concedido inclusive por esta Casa, por unanimidade dos presentes, onde nós abraçamos essa ideia. Acreditando também, que até o mês de maio a reforma da feira finalmente sairia”, finalizou Caio André.
