Após o Festival de Parintins, operação entre embarcações revela o espírito de união da Marinha Mercante nos rios da Amazônia
Depois da magia do Festival de Parintins, milhares de passageiros deixam a Ilha da Magia rumo a Manaus e outras cidades do Amazonas. São horas de viagem pelos rios da região, em uma rotina marcada por desafios, distância e, principalmente, pela necessidade de união entre aqueles que navegam pelas águas amazônicas.
Na manhã desta quarta-feira (1º), um episódio chamou atenção durante o retorno dos passageiros. Após cerca de nove horas de viagem, o navio Sérgio Brelaz, que tinha previsão de chegada a Manaus por volta das 6h, precisou mudar sua rota e retornar aproximadamente dois quilômetros para prestar auxílio ao navio Parintintins, que apresentou uma falha grave no sistema hidráulico do leme — equipamento responsável pelo controle da direção da embarcação.
Com o problema, a condução segura do navio ficou comprometida. Diante da situação, foi realizada uma operação de apoio: as duas embarcações fizeram o atracamento lateral e seguiram juntas em direção a Manaus, garantindo que o navio com avaria pudesse continuar sua viagem.
O imprevisto causou atraso e transtornos para muitos passageiros, que tiveram suas programações alteradas. Mas, em meio ao desconforto, eles também testemunharam uma das regras mais importantes da navegação: a solidariedade no rio.
De acordo com os princípios seguidos pelos armadores e pela navegação comercial, a embarcação que estiver mais próxima de outra em situação de emergência tem o dever de prestar auxílio, não podendo simplesmente ignorar o chamado.
