O secretário de Estado de Desenvolvimento Econômico, Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação (Sedecti), Serafim Corrêa, participou, nesta quinta-feira (19/09), da reunião com representantes da Embaixada do Peru no Brasil e operadores portuários peruanos, realizada na sede da Superintendência da Zona Franca de Manaus (Suframa), no Distrito Industrial. Durante o encontro, ele destacou o potencial da parceria com o Porto de Chancay, no Peru, que possibilitará para a integração comercial entre a Zona Franca de Manaus e a Amazônia Ocidental.
De acordo com o secretário, o Porto de Chancay está destinado a se tornar o maior porto da costa pacífica peruana, o que representa uma oportunidade estratégica para o Amazonas em termos de logística e comércio exterior. “Essa reunião é o primeiro passo para que importadores e operadores portuários do Peru e do Amazonas possam dialogar e explorar oportunidades de colaboração mútua”, afirmou.
Conforme explicou Serafim, a iniciativa da rota Chancay-Manaus faz parte das Rotas de Integração Sul-Americana, o que, além de representar uma oportunidade para importação e exportação entre a Ásia e a América do Sul, também impulsiona a integração comercial entre os países sul-americanos.
“Estamos aqui dando todo o apoio a essa iniciativa e estamos juntos, vamos vencer mais essa”, enfatizou Serafim Corrêa, ao reforçar o compromisso do governo do Amazonas em fomentar parcerias que impulsionem a economia local.
O encontro contou com a presença embaixador do Peru no Brasil, Romulo Acurio, que apresentou detalhes sobre o Porto de Chancay, em construção na costa do Pacífico e destacou a importância de fortalecer o entendimento entre Brasil e Peru no que diz respeito aos avanços logísticos e às oportunidades de cooperação entre os dois países.
“Os esforços logísticos do Peru coincidem com as iniciativas brasileiras de integração sul-americana, criando oportunidades claras de negócios entre os dois países, especialmente nas regiões fronteiriças. Estamos aqui para fortalecer esse diálogo e explorar as novas possibilidades de cooperação logística entre o Brasil e o Peru, em prol do desenvolvimento sustentável da Amazônia e de nossas nações”, destacou.
O superintendente da Suframa, Bosco Saraiva, destacou a importância de compreender as particularidades da infraestrutura no país vizinho e como esses aspectos podem impactar o Polo Industrial de Manaus. “É importante compreender claramente as dificuldades em terras e rios peruanos, a navegabilidade dos rios do Peru, assim como a trafegabilidade das suas estradas e também, da nossa parte, o alfandegamento do nosso porto de Tabatinga”.
O evento contou também com a presença dos secretários-executivos da Sedecti, Gustavo Igrejas, Jeibi Medeiros e Tayana Rubim, do presidente da Federação do Comércio de Bens, Serviços e Turismo do Estado do Amazonas (Fecomércio-AM), Aderson Frota, além de outras autoridades, diplomatas, empresários do PIM e associações.
Sobre o porto
O Porto de Chancay, cuja inauguração oficial está prevista para 17 de novembro de 2024, foi desenvolvido com um investimento de US$ 3,6 bilhões. Ele promete transformar as rotas de comércio entre a América do Sul e a Ásia, reduzindo o tempo de transporte de mercadorias entre Manaus e a China de 46 para até 20 dias, através de uma conexão direta com o porto peruano e Tabatinga. Na fase inicial, o porto deverá movimentar cerca de um milhão de contêineres por ano, criando novas oportunidades para o comércio exterior brasileiro e asiático.
