Índices futuros dos EUA operam no campo negativo

Após os principais indicadores fecharem no campo positivo na véspera, os índices futuros dos EUA recuam, nesta manhã de quinta-feira (24), com os investidores repercutindo as idas e vindas das falas do presidente Donald Trump e as informações contidas no Livro Bege do Fed (Federal Reserve, o banco central estadunidense), divulgado ontem (23).

Na véspera, os mercados reagiram positivamente à negativa de Trump de que estaria pensando em demitir o presidente do Fed, Jerome Powell, após ter afirmado na segunda-feira (21) que o faria caso a autoridade monetária não baixasse os juros.

Além disso, o jornal Wall Street Journal informou que o governo Trump considerava reduzir tarifas sobre a China. No entanto, o secretário do Tesouro, Scott Bessent, negou a informação, afirmando que não houve qualquer proposta unilateral para aliviar a guerra comercial.

Pequim também disse nesta quinta que não há discussões em andamento com os EUA sobre tarifas, apesar das indicações da Casa Branca esta semana de que haveria algum alívio nas tensões.

Somado a tudo isso, o Fed divulgou ontem o Livro Bege, documento que reúne avaliações de empresários nos 12 distritos norte-americanos onde a autoridade monetária atua. A publicação traz que os preços de bens e serviços aumentaram em todos os distritos, com metade deles caracterizando o avanço da inflação como modesto e seis como moderado.

A maioria observou que as empresas esperam um aumento elevado nos custos de insumos devido às tarifas impostas por Trump. Muitas empresas já receberam notificações de fornecedores informando que os custos aumentarão. Para compensar a incerteza em torno da política comercial, as empresas adicionaram sobretaxas tarifárias ou reduziram horizontes de preços.

No Brasil, será divulgado hoje a sondagem do consumidor de abril, um indicador que avalia o sentimento das famílias em relação à economia.

Brasil

O Ibovespa avançou 1,32% na quarta-feira (23), fechando aos 132.216,07 pontos, um ganho de 1.751,69 pontos.

A exemplo das bolsas de Nova York, o Ibovespa repercutiu a fala do presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, que voltou atrás na afirmação feita na segunda-feira (21) de que demitiria o presidente do Fed (Federal Reserve, o banco central estadunidense), Jerome Powell, se ele não baixar as taxas de juros.

Em outra frente, o FMI (Fundo Monetário Internacional) revisou para baixo a projeção da economia global, devido à guerra comercial de Trump. Pelos prognósticos do fundo, a economia mundial deve crescer 2,8% em 2025 e 3,0% em 2026, números que ficaram abaixo dos 3,3% projetados anteriormente para ambos os anos. Os principais afetados serão China, México e Canadá. O Brasil, por outro lado, saiu praticamente ileso dessa reavaliação.

O dólar à vista fechou com baixa de 0,17%, aos R$ 5,7177 — menor cotação desde 4 de abril, quando encerrou em R$ 5,6651. Em abril, no entanto, a divisa ainda acumula elevação de 0,19%.

Europa

As bolsas europeias operam majoritariamente no campo negativo. Os investidores acompanham os desdobramentos da guerra tarifária de Donald Trump e a divulgação dos resultados trimestrais de empresas como Unilever, Banco Sabadell, Sanofi, Eni e BNP Paribas.

Ásia

As bolsas asiáticas fecharam mistas nesta quinta-feira, acompanhando os ganhos de Wall Street. O otimismo dos investidores foi impulsionado por sinais de um possível avanço nas negociações comerciais entre EUA e China, o que foi posteriormente negado pelo secretário do Tesouro, Scott Bessent.

Petróleo

Os preços do petróleo sobem, após caírem quase 2% na sessão anterior, com os investidores avaliando um possível aumento na produção da Opep+ (Organização dos Países Exportadores de Petróleo e aliados) em relação aos sinais tarifários conflitantes da Casa Branca e às negociações nucleares em andamento entre os EUA e o Irã.

Agenda

Nos Estados Unidos, seguem as reuniões de primavera do FMI (Fundo Monetário Internacional) e vendas de casas usadas em março.

Por aqui, no Brasil, o ministro-chefe da Casa Civil, Rui Costa, viaja neste sábado (26) à China para buscar investimentos em infraestrutura e cadeias produtivas, em preparação à visita de Lula a Xi Jinping, em maio. Em Pequim e Xangai, o ministro apresentará projetos do Novo PAC, com foco no Corredor Bioceânico e na sinergia com a Nova Rota da Seda. A comitiva também inclui representantes dos ministérios da Indústria e Agricultura. O Novo Banco de Desenvolvimento, presidido por Dilma Rousseff, deve financiar parte dos acordos. Um dos projetos mais avançados é o satélite CBERS-5, fruto da parceria Brasil-China desde 1988.
