Acordo irá beneficiar 70 famílias e promoverá o desenvolvimento sustentável da pesca
O Instituto de Desenvolvimento Agropecuário e Florestal Sustentável do Estado do Amazonas (Idam) deu início à elaboração de acordos de pesca que irão beneficiar 70 famílias de Barcelos e Santa Isabel do Rio Negro (distantes 399 e 630 quilômetros de Manaus, respectivamente), com o objetivo de desenvolver a pesca ornamental, comercial e esportiva de forma sustentável na região.
Segundo o gerente da unidade local do Idam em Santa Isabel do Rio Negro, o acordo se iniciou em 14 de abril, com as reuniões tendo continuidade no dia 29/04, contando com a participação da Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente, Sempa, FOIRN, CAIMBRN, ACIRPP, Sebrae e representantes de comunidades locais.
“As reuniões serviram para definir os termos do acordo, que incluem área de preservação, área de subsistência, área de pesca comercial, área de pesca ornamental, área de pesca esportiva e ambientes aquáticos, bem como uso e proibição de apetrechos, materiais e métodos de pesca”, explicou o gerente.
Os acordos irão beneficiar 70 famílias que moram na região que abrange o Rio Preto, pertencente ao município de Santa Isabel do Rio Negro, e Rio Padauiri, pertencente ao município de Barcelos.
