(Folhapress) – Os economistas reduziram a previsão para a taxa de juros pela primeira vez desde março e agora esperam que a Selic termine o ano a 13,75%, uma diminuição de 0,25 ponto percentual em relação ao levantamento da semana passada.
O boletim Focus só apresentava movimento de alta ou estagnação desde 2 de março, quando os analistas avaliavam que a taxa de juros fecharia 2026 a 12%. Depois disso, o número só aumentou ou se manteve nas semanas seguintes até atingir 14% em 22 de junho.
O índice permaneceu neste patamar por seis semanas até ser diminuído nesta segunda-feira (3). O movimento de alta coincidiu com o início da guerra no Irã em 28 de fevereiro, que impactou diretamente o preço dos combustíveis e levou a um aumento da inflação em todo o mundo.
Com isso, o Banco Central passou a adotar uma política mais restritiva e diminuiu a expectativa para cortes maiores na taxa de juros. O Copom (Comitê de Política Monetária) se reunirá a partir desta terça-feira (4) e os economistas ouvidos pelo BC preveem uma redução de 0,25 ponto percentual na Selic, que atualmente está em 14,25% ao ano.
Expectativas de mais cortes
A mudança de perspectiva mostra que o mercado ainda espera mais um corte no mesmo patamar até o final do ano. Já as previsões para os três próximos anos foram mantidas em 12% para 2027, 10,5% para 2028 e 10% para 2029.
O boletim Focus também apontou uma queda na previsão para a inflação deste ano para 5,03%, 0,09 ponto percentual a menos do que no levantamento anterior. É a quinta semana consecutiva de diminuição na perspectiva para o IPCA (Índice Nacional de Preços ao Consumidor Amplo).
Já as expectativas para o PIB (Produto Interno Bruto) e para o dólar permaneceram em 1,99% e R$ 5,20, respectivamente.
