Um Estudo Sobre as Práticas Educativas na Escola Municipal Jaú Tambor
Na noite do último sábado (8/6), Novo Airão, município da Região Metropolitana de Manaus, a 115 km da capital amazonense, foi palco de um evento especial que ficará marcado na história da literatura local. A professora Laura Belém Pereira celebrou o lançamento de seu livro ‘Educação Escolar e Saberes Tradicionais Quilombolas: Um Estudo Sobre as Práticas Educativas na Escola Municipal Jaú Tambor’, consolidando um importante marco na valorização dos saberes tradicionais e das práticas educativas quilombolas.
A obra, fruto da dissertação de mestrado de Laura sob a orientação da professora doutora Hellen Picanço, representa a realização de um sonho e foi indicada pela banca avaliadora para publicação e transformada em e-book pela editora Edua, com a versão impressa pela Atenas financiada com recursos próprios.
“Meu trabalho tomou uma proporção que eu nunca imaginava. Durante a defesa, a banca avaliadora indicou a dissertação para publicação, e no ano seguinte, o trabalho foi eleito como a melhor dissertação do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal do Amazonas (PPGE UFAM), do ano de 2021, o que foi uma grande honra e reconhecimento’, declarou a autora.
Em uma noite repleta de emoção e gratidão, Laura Belém Pereira celebrou a concretização de seu sonho ao lado de familiares e amigos. A autora descreveu o evento como uma noite maravilhosa e inesquecível, destacando o brilho de orgulho nos olhos de sua irmã Rosilene e Jôse, de seus filhos Lucas e Guilherme, de seu cônjuge Ronaldo, e de sua mãe, sobrinhas e primos.
Laura enfatizou que o apoio incondicional de seus familiares e amigos foi fundamental para a realização desse projeto. Ela relembrou as lutas e obstáculos que enfrentou ao longo de sua jornada, ressaltando que o processo, embora árduo, foi sempre incentivado por aqueles que a cercavam. Expressou sua profunda gratidão a Deus e a todos que fizeram parte dessa trajetória, desde amigos e colegas de trabalho até os quilombolas do Rio Jaú, que contribuíram com suas histórias e saberes para a construção do livro.
“Sou imensamente grata a Deus por todas as bênçãos recebidas, pela oportunidade de compartilhar com familiares e amigos este momento tão especial, um sonho realizado”, declarou Belém.
O evento foi marcado pela presença de familiares e amigos, entre eles, as quilombolas Iza e Rackele, bem como dos representantes da Secretaria Municipal de Educação (SEMED), os professores Gracimar Queiroz e Adailton Cerdeira. Cada um deles foi lembrado por sua significativa participação e apoio. Laura expressou ainda profunda gratidão pela hospitalidade de Kayrara e Niza, casal que a acolheu durante sua estada no Quilombo, e também agradeceu ao amigo Sebastião (Bá) pela parceria e apoio durante as viagens até a comunidade quilombola.

Laura Belém Pereira é uma professora da rede municipal de ensino de Novo Airão. Natural de Barcelos, é filha de Izabel Alvez Belém, indígena da etnia Baré, e de Nelson Bento Pereira, migrante nordestino que chegou ao Amazonas na época áurea da borracha. Mãe de Lucas e Guilherme, e avó de Luiz Otávio, Laura se destaca por seu compromisso com a educação e o respeito aos saberes tradicionais. Sua trajetória inspira a comunidade ao valorizar e integrar os conhecimentos ancestrais nas práticas educativas, promovendo uma educação inclusiva e culturalmente sensível.
