“Flores Secas”, de Arnaldo Barreto, com renomados amazonenses

Isabela Catão, Adriano Rodrigues, Vanessa Pimentel e Rosa Malagueta foram os escolhidos para compor a nova produção cultural

Após uma cuidadosa avaliação feita pelo renomado diretor Arnaldo Barreto, as estrelas do curta-metragem “Flores Secas” foram definidas. Entre elas, os artistas Adriano Rodrigues, Vanessa Pimentel, Isabela Catão e Rosa Malagueta, que irão interpretar os personagens Sebastião, Dasdor, Marepe’Í e Francisca, respectivamente, na trama.

Para dar início aos trabalhos em “Flores Secas”, foram organizadas reuniões com o elenco para estudo do roteiro, a composição de cada personagem, o perfil, bem como a relação estabelecida entre eles durante as cenas, de modo que o objetivo de cada ato fosse compreendido e vivenciado na prática.

De acordo com o diretor, Arnaldo Barreto, em “Flores Secas”, os atores construíram juntos a personalidade e a relação de seus personagens. “A matéria-prima deste trabalho é a sensibilidade individual e coletiva, que é equilibrada para que a mesma coragem criativa permita a transformação do ator em cocriador. Dessa forma, ele pode de fato, viver as emoções e memórias dos personagens, e não apenas interpretá-las”, explicou.

Com 38 anos de carreira, a artista Vanessa Pimentel contou sobre a felicidade de ser convidada para vivenciar o papel da protagonista, Dasdor, e o prazer em poder trabalhar com o diretor, Arnaldo Barreto, cujo trabalho é alvo de admiração pela atriz.

“Tenho plena confiança e admiração pelos trabalhos do Arnaldo e o que eles representam para nossa cultura local. Ao receber o convite e o roteiro, fiquei muito empolgada e fascinada com todo o enredo. A possibilidade de atuar em uma obra de época, dramática e por meio de uma personagem tão interessante foi um presente para mim”, disse.

De acordo com Vanessa, interpretar a nuance de sentimentos e emoções da personagem foi um grande desafio. “Dasdor, sem dúvida, carrega o estigma do significado do próprio nome, porque se trata de uma mulher amargurada da década de 50, que traz todo peso, sofrimento e frustração de não poder gerar filhos e dar frutos à sua união com Sebastião. É um personagem bem rico, potente, desafiador e que me fez amar ainda mais as artes cinematográficas”, afirmou.

Aos 42 anos e com quase três décadas de carreira na atuação, o amazonense Adriano Rodrigues será o intérprete de Sebastião, em “Flores Secas”. Para ele, vivenciar o personagem foi enriquecedor.

“Fui transportado para uma outra época, com seus costumes e valores e isso é incrível. No filme, Sebastião tem uma passividade que não é uma de minhas características, então creio que essa foi a parte mais desafiadora do personagem, a de representar um homem não submisso, porém passivo diante do amor de uma mulher”, explicou o ator.

Ao receber o convite para viver o personagem, Adriano lembrou da alegria sentida pela oportunidade de atuar em um filme de forma central. “Tivemos dois meses de preparação intensa. Nesse período estudei e me dediquei a dar vida e criar a alma do Sebastião. Acredito que o resultado será incrível e minhas expectativas são as melhores possíveis”, destacou.

Conexão – Após uma década dedicada às artes cênicas, a atriz Isabela Catão afirmou vivenciar a personagem mais desafiadora de sua carreira. Em “Flores Secas”, ela dá vida à indígena Marepe’Í, da etnia Sateré-mawé, que sai de sua aldeia, junto com seu filho, para fugir da epidemia de febre amarela que assolava a região na década de 50 e vai morar na casa de estranhos.

“Ao estudar minha personagem, tive a ajuda da Dilze, da etnia Saterê-mawé, que foi fundamental para a composição da minha personagem. Entender a fonética, o tempo e o ritmo da linguagem e tecnificar isso no corpo, na voz e na emoção, foi uma das preparações mais difíceis que já fiz em minha carreira e acredito que essa experiência elevou a atuação para esse trabalho”, destacou a atriz.

Para Isabela, vivenciar a personagem Marepe’Í foi uma homenagem à força e ao instinto de sobrevivência dos povos Sateré-mawé. “Sempre quis ter contato com os povos indígenas através do meu ofício e estar com o Arnaldo neste filme foi um privilégio. Tudo foi feito com muito respeito aos povos, à sua língua e a expectativa é que a história chegue nas pessoas da forma como foi pensada pelo diretor”, ressaltou.

Identificação com o personagem – Outra personagem de “Flores Secas” é a experiente atriz, Rosa Malagueta, que dá vida à governanta Francisca, mulher enigmática, mística e de confiança da família de Sebastião e Dasdor.

Com 40 anos de carreira artística, Rosa afirma que a preparação para atuar tem início com a identificação com o personagem. “A partir do momento em que me identifico com um personagem, já começo a pesquisar e vou criando a sua identidade. Em “Flores Secas” não foi diferente e fiquei bastante satisfeita com todo o trabalho realizado”, destacou a atriz, que aproveitou para agradecer pela oportunidade.

“Arnaldo (Barreto) é um grande escritor, tem ideias fantásticas e uma produção impecável. Já trabalhamos juntos várias vezes e é uma honra podermos estar lado a lado novamente, dessa vez em uma produção que ele assina”, concluiu.

O projeto – Contemplado na Lei Paulo Gustavo, por meio do Edital Manaus Identidade Cultural Audiovisual, na categoria curta-metragem de ficção, “Flores Secas” conta com o apoio do Conselho Municipal de Cultura (Concultura), Secretaria Municipal de Cultura (Manauscult), Prefeitura de Manaus, Ministério da Cultura e Governo Federal.
