Uma das modalidades com grande potencial  no Amazonas é o Futevolei.
Praticado desde a década de 90 no estado, o jogo de volei com os PÉS foi adotado por atletas de diversos municípios.
Muitos atletas locais se destacaram como Marquinho Grillo, Junior Pertubado, João Paulo, Junior Cavalo, Marcelo Boca entre outros.
O inicio das competições nacionais e internacionais foi responsabilidade de Aydamo Célio Campos, então presidente da Federação Amazonense.
Com Aydamo, um ex-atleta da base e do profissional do AMÉRICA FUTEBOL CLUBE e amante do esporte,  o Futevolei Amazonense alcançou outro patamar.
TAPIOCA e COQUINHA,  nordestinos, foram convidados a morar e representar o Amazonas. A contratação deles elevou o nível dos amazonenses que passaram a participar de Copa brasil , campeonato brasileiro, copa norte, campeonato Mundial entre outras competições e desafios.  A partir de então o Amazonas passou a fazer parte da modalidade , no Brasil e no Mundo, tendo inclusive , sido sede de Campeonato Mundial.

É também mérito de Aydamo Campos a vinda, de Maués para Manaus, dos irmãos GuiGui e David Perrone, que figuram entre os melhores do mundo há bastante tempo.
Atualmente o Futevolei ganhou força nas comunidades de Manaus e em cidades como Manacapuru.
As competições tem apresentado ao publico novos talentos e naturalmente o nivel das competições tem se elevado.
Mas não apenas os atletas competidores se beneficiam com essas competições. Muitos veteranos ainda participam para manter a saúde.
