Fundação Estadual do Índio assiste povos indígenas
O Governo do Estado do Amazonas, através da Fundação Estadual do Índio (FEI), criada em 2016 para garantir um olhar diferenciado para a questão indigenista no Amazonas, continua com a ações humanitárias junto aos povos indígenas. No último sábado, 11, aproximadamente mil cestas básicas foram entregues às comunidades localizadas nos municípios Autazes, Careiro Castanho e Manaquiri. As famílias beneficiadas são de diversos povoados das etnias Mura e Mundurucu. Ao todo a ação humanitária desse sábado conseguiu beneficiar pelo menos quatro mil índios, entre homens, mulheres e crianças.
Além de garantir o sustento para o período de distanciamento social, as cestas básicas são a segurança 
alimentar para milhares de pessoas que não podem trabalhar, nem na produção nem na comercialização do que produzem. Entram nessa lista os produtos da agricultura familiar, assim como peças artesanais que fazem parte do interesse turístico de quem visita a região. “Tem sido bem difícil ficar sem produção para todas as pessoas. Para nossos índios é mais difícil ainda, porque as opções para eles são poucas, então temos que garantir o mínimo para que eles se alimentem e se resguardem do corona”, enfatizou Edivaldo Mundurucu. “O governador do estado tem um olhar diferenciado, nos deu autonomia e só por isso estamos conseguindo ajudar os nossos irmãos”, reforçou.
Uma cesta básica com reforço de proteína, álcool em gel e mascaras para ajudar no combate ao corona vírus, que no Amazonas está colocando em risco inclusive os povos indígenas mais distantes da capital, Alto Solimões e Alto Rio Negro. “Se nossos parentes mais distantes estão sendo infectados, os que estão mais próximos de Manaus correm mais riscos. Por isso decidimos trazer o que é preciso para ajudar na prevenção da doença, além de contribuir para a alimentação deles”, explicou Edivaldo Oliveira Mundurucu, presidente da Fei.
Para o índios a ação é a única maneira de seguirem as determinações de isolamento social por conta do Corona Virus. “Quero agradecer em nome de todos os parentes, essa ação que vem para acalantar as necessidades de tantos índios como nós. Obrigado a Deus , ao Governador Wilson Lima e ao presidente da FEI, que está seguindo as diretrizes mesmo durante a quarentena”, enfatizou o cacique Pedro Santa Rita, dos mundurucus de Manaquiri. Da mesma maneira o cacique Gilson Mura, da aldeia Vista Alegre. “Só nós sabemos o quanto essa ação é importante para nosso povo. Muito obrigado de coração”, enfatizou.
O diretor Administrativo da Fundação Estadual do Índio, Francisco Weslley, explica que apesar do momento delicado da economia amazonense, o investimento nas ações humanitárias são a prova de que o Governo do Estado atua de maneira intensa em diversas frentes, não apenas tratando os problemas que já existem, mas principalmente se antecipando e prevendo para que o não ocorram. “Estamos limitados pelo isolamento social, mas como se trata da vida de tantos irmãos índios, damos continuidade ao trabalho de assistência. Agora é se preparar para as próximas ações”, afirma Weslley.
Rio Preto da Eva.
No município Rio Preto da Eva, a 80 quilômetros da capital, a entrega de cestas básicas e kits de higienização (álcool e mascaras) foi feita na sexta-feira, 10. A ação foi na aldeia Beija Flor 01, junto às etnias Saterê Mawé, Tukano, Dessano e Arara. No Iranduba foram atendidas as famílias da etnia Saterê Mawé, na aldeia Shu Apé.
As próximas ações da Fundação Estadual do Índio serão na região do médio Solimões, nos municípios Anamã e Tefé, até o fim do mês de abril. “Existe toda uma particularidade logística para atendermos longe de Manaus, mas é nossa missão e vamos tentar chegar a todos os irmãos”, completou Edivaldo Mundurucu.
