Em Humaitá, Governo do Amazonas investe R$ 40 mil na agricultura familiar indígena

O Governo do Amazonas, por meio da Secretaria de Estado de Produção Rural (Sepror), em conjunto com Instituto de Desenvolvimento Agropecuário e Florestal (Idam), adquiriu, nesta terça-feira (28/01), mais de 7,7 toneladas de alimentos da agricultura indígena no município de Humaitá (a 590 quilômetros de Manaus).

A ação faz parte do Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos (PAA) indígena, do Governo Federal, coordenado pela Sepror, no Amazonas. No município, foram investidos R$ 40 mil em recursos para a compra de produtos rurais de comunidades de povos originários.

“Estamos seguindo com a compra de alimentos da agricultura indígena no Amazonas, somente nesta terça, foram adquiridos produtos de três municípios simultaneamente. Essa é a determinação do governador Wilson Lima, trabalhar por aqueles que mais precisam”, destacou o secretário de estado de Produção Rural, Daniel Borges.

Os alimentos foram doados para três escolas indígenas do município. Entre os produtos adquiridos estão: farinha, melancia, abóbora, limão, macaxeira, abacaxi, castanha e milho.

Ao todo, foram beneficiadas 95 famílias indígenas das etnias Parintintin e Tenharin, totalizando mais de 400 pessoas atendidas.
