Na próxima quinta-feira, 23/5, o boxeador Francisco Ataíde, 27, representará o Amazonas no evento de boxe “Nocaute na Violência”, em Belém, Pará. O lutador já conquistou a competição e agora conta com o apoio da Prefeitura de Manaus em busca do bicampeonato.
Nascido em Benjamin Constant, Francisco chegou a Manaus para estudar e trabalhar há 10 anos. Foi quando ele conheceu o projeto “Ring Boxe” e desde então passou a lutar boxe.
“Estou bem confiante, já lutei nesse evento. Minha luta foi a principal, nocauteei o dono da casa no segundo round e pretendo voltar de lá com a mesma vitória que conquistei na primeira vez. É muito bom receber o apoio da Prefeitura de Manaus e de qualquer órgão que queira nos ajudar”, contou o atleta que luta pela categoria médio e é heptacampeão amazonense de boxe.
O secretário municipal de Juventude, Esporte e Lazer (Semjel), João Carlos, destacou o dinamismo no incentivo aos atletas de diferentes modalidades. “A Prefeitura de Manaus, conforme nos orienta o prefeito Arthur Virgílio Neto, tem o cuidado e a atenção de apoiar atletas de todas as modalidades. Jiu-jitsu, judô, futebol, boxe, wakeboard, xadrez, badminton são algumas das modalidades que já apoiamos este ano. Esperamos aumentar ainda mais esses números”, ressaltou.
