Alessandro Cohen vai comandar a Secretaria de Estado da Pesca e Aquicultura

Funcionando dentro da Secretaria de Estado da Produção Rural, a Secretaria de Pesca e Aquicultura passou por anos trabalho em todo o estado com um público maior do que a maioria dos amazonense consegue vislumbrar.  Superficialmente o que se pode afirmar é que o estado é o terceiro maior do Brasil no assunto PESCA e isso significa um quantitativo significativamente grande de pessoas que dependem dessa atividade para sobreviver.

Em praticamente todos os 62 municípios existem as cooperativas de pescadores, as associações de pescadores e as federações de pescadores, tornando o setor um dos mais numerosos em profissionais cadastrados, contribuição na produção de alimentos e principalmente nas demandas do setor, que vão das Leis que regram a pesca no Estado a ajudas humanitárias que em 2024 por meio de diversas articulações garantiram mais de 20 mil cestas básicas, já que os rios secos não permitiam nem a pesca para o próprio consumo.

Além dos alimentos, foi por meio dessa articulação que o seguro defeso e seguro defeso extraordinário foi garantido para os pescadores amazonenses, garantindo a renda necessária até o fim do período de proteção dos recursos pesqueiro.

A nova secretaria chega para aumentar o seu alcance de atuação, com previsão e provisão orçamentaria independente,  e muitos novos desafios. E quem vai comandar a nova pasta é Alessandro Cohen, que ha dois anos é o Secretario Executivo Adjunto de Pesca e Aquicultura da Sepror.

Alessandro Cohen é um agente político com ampla experiência na esfera pública, tanto no âmbito estadual quanto municipal. Alguns destaques importantes:

É Manauense , Amazonense, pós graduado em Gestão Pública 49 anos , casado pai de 3 filhas.
Começou na vida pública em 2000 com o então Vereador e depois Deputado Artur Virgílio Bisneto(in memorian), de quem foi seu secretário de gabinete por 12 anos. Em 2013 foi sub secretário de infraestrutura de Manaus.

Entre 2014 e 2016 foi ouvidor geral do município de Manaus e posteriormente foi secretário do Procon Manaus tudo na gestão Artur Neto. Em 2017 foi para Superintendência do Patrimônio da União onde ficou até 2021 e de onde saiu e se filiou ao Republicanos, comandado pelo Deputado Federal Silas Câmara.

Coordenou as ações do partidárias na eleição em 2022 e em 2023 ganhou a confiança do setor da pesca e Aquicultura, ja no governo Wilson Lima, onde é titular da pasta. Em 2024 esteve presente na coordenação geral do republicanos que apoiou a candidatura do Deputado Roberto Cidade a prefeitura da capital e que elegeu dois vereadores na Capital e dezenas no interior do estado.

Autor da obra “A Ouvidoria como instrumento de controle social e políticas públicas”.

A trajetória impressiona e demonstra o envolvimento de Alessandro Cohen em diversas frentes da administração pública, tanto em nível estadual quanto municipal.
