Gestor borbense assinou ficha de filiação em Manaus
O prefeito de Borba, Simão Peixoto, assinou, nesta quarta-feira (1º/10,) a ficha de filiação do partido Movimento Democrático Brasileiro (MDB). O ato de filiação ocorreu na sede estadual da sigla, localizada no bairro Parque 10, zona centro-sul de Manaus.
Simão, que esteve filiado ao Partido Progressista (PP), iniciou sua carreira política, em 2008, como vereador de Borba, chegando a presidir o parlamento borbense no biênio 2011-2012. Ele foi reeleito vereador nas eleições municipais de 2012 e, em 2013 retornou ao cargo de Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Borba em 2013.
Em 2016, Simão Peixoto Lima decidiu concorrer ao cargo de prefeito, vencendo aquela eleição com 6.238 votos. tendo sua gestão aprovada pelos borbenses, Simão foi reeleito nas eleições municipais de 2020 com 5.499 votos.
