funciona na casa de show Almirante Hall, na rua Agostinho Caballero, bairro São Raimundo, em frente À Câmara Municipal de Manaus.
O Brasil é conhecido internacionalmente pelo samba, um estilo musical e de dança típico do país. O Carnaval é a festividade onde o samba seria popularizado virando o ritmo oficial da festa.
O samba é apreciado pelos brasileiros em todas as regiões do Brasil, porém, tradicionalmente, o ritmo se tornou “marca registrada” do Rio de Janeiro e da Bahia.
Origem do Dia do Samba
O Dia Nacional do Samba não é uma data comemorativa oficial e foi aprovado como lei estadual do Estado da Guanabara (atual município do Rio de Janeiro), através da Lei n° 554, de 27 julho de 1964.
Na Bahia, também havia um projeto de lei, de 1963, que pretendia instituir o Dia do Samba. Já considerando a sua aprovação, o projeto declara que as comemorações da data nesse ano homenageariam Ary Barroso, compositor brasileiro, autor de “Aquarela do Brasil”, entre outras.
É possivelmente por esse motivo que se passou a divulgar a ideia de que a data teria sido criada em homenagem ao sambista.
Assim, embora o Dia Nacional do Samba não seja oficial, a sua comemoração é conhecida nacionalmente.
Atualmente, existem variações do samba com outros estilos músicas. Entre eles, o que se destaca é o Samba Rock, o Samba enredo, o Samba pagode, o Samba carnavalesco, o Samba de gafieira e etc.
