PL de Roberto Cidade pretende contribuir com mobilidade através da ‘Lei de Incentivo, Proteção e Respeito aos ciclistas’

Um dos principais problemas das grandes cidades brasileiras, a mobilidade urbana é um tema que merece a atenção de todos os agentes públicos. E, para contribuir com a problemática, o presidente da Assembleia Legislativa do Amazonas (Aleam), deputado estadual Roberto Cidade (UB), apresentou o Projeto de Lei nº 675/2023, que institui a Lei de Incentivo, Proteção e Respeito aos Ciclistas no âmbito do Estado do Amazonas.

A proposta tem como objetivo incentivar o uso da bicicleta como meio de transporte alternativo sustentável, ou como prática esportiva e de lazer; promover a melhoria da saúde e do bem-estar dos cidadãos por meio da promoção do lazer e da atividade física; incentivar a valorização da cultura e dos atrativos turísticos e ecológicos do Amazonas; promover o desenvolvimento dos arranjos produtivos locais e a movimentação da economia do Estado e seus municípios por meio das diversas modalidades de ciclismo; incentivar a mobilidade e acessibilidade e incentivar o respeito aos direitos do ciclista.

“Uma das principais propostas desta Lei é o incentivo ao uso da bicicleta como meio de transporte sustentável. A bicicleta é uma alternativa limpa e eficiente, contribuindo para a redução da emissão de gases poluentes e congestionamentos nas cidades. Ao promover a criação de ciclovias, ciclofaixas e bicicletários seguros, o projeto estimula a adesão da população ao uso da bicicleta, contribuindo para a melhoria da mobilidade urbana e a qualidade de vida dos cidadãos”.

O PL estabelece ainda o dia 19 de agosto como “Dia Estadual de Respeito aos Ciclistas”, com a promoção de atividades que incentivem o uso da bicicleta como meio esportivo e de transporte sustentável. A proposta também visa instituir rotas ciclísticas com a interligação entre os sistemas turísticos e de infraestrutura cicloviária rural e urbana já existentes.

“Outro ponto relevante é o desenvolvimento de rotas ciclísticas seguras e bem-sinalizadas, que atravessam as paisagens da região, conectando áreas de interesse turístico, culturais e ecológicas. O cicloturismo, ao ser incentivado, promove uma interação mais próxima dos visitantes com a natureza e as comunidades locais, contribuindo para a geração de empregos e renda nessas áreas. Além disso, a iniciativa visa sensibilizar a população e os turistas para a importância da conservação ambiental e a preservação dos recursos naturais do Estado”, argumentou.
