Amigos e familiares se despedem de Oscarino Varjão

O enterro aconteceu na tarde desta segunda-feira (16/04), no cemitério São João Batista; Missa de sétimo dia será realizada no próximo sábado (21/4)

Amigos e familiares do artista amazonense Oscarino Varjão, falecido na noite do último domingo (15/04), se despediram do ventríloquo, na tarde desta segunda-feira (16/04), no cemitério São João Batista, no boulevard Alvaro Maia, na zona centro-sul. Diversas homenagens também foram realizadas durante o velório de Oscarino.

O vice-governador do Amazonas, Bosco Saraiva, esteve no local e destacou a importância do artista para o Estado. “Ele é responsável por toda uma geração de sorrisos, inclusive o meu”, comentou o vice-governador. “Quando criei o Projeto de Lei que tornava o Peteleco Patrimônio Cultural e Imaterial, eu buscava uma forma de homenageá-lo ainda em vida”.

Representando o secretário de Cultura, Denilson Novo, a cantora Leka Denz, interpretou a canção “Se eu quiser falar com Deus”, de Gilberto Gil, em homenagem ao ventríloquo. “Oferecemos nossa solidariedade e apoio. Escolhi interpretar essa canção como uma forma de abraçar a família neste momento”, disse.

A filha de Oscarino, Rosa Ney, organizou uma homenagem com o repertório favorito do artista, com músicas de Nelson Gonçalves. A sequência de canções foi tocada pelo pianista Felício Show, também amigo de Oscarino. “Ele tinha muito orgulho de mim por ter esse dom. Essa é a forma que eu achei de orgulhar meu pai pela última vez”, expressou Rosa.

O cortejo, guiado pelo Corpo de Bombeiros do Amazonas, saiu do Centro Cultural Palácio Rio Negro – onde aconteceu o velório – por volta das 16h. O sepultamento foi realizado às 17h, no Cemitério São  João Batista. A dupla de violinistas Margarita Chetereva e Fernando Lima tocaram durante o cortejo.

Missa de sétimo dia – A Secretaria de Estado de Cultura (SEC) realizará, no próximo sábado (21/04), a Missa de Sétimo Dia na Igreja Nossa Senhora de Fátima, localizada rua Duque de Caxias, no bairro Praça 14 de janeiro. A cerimônia começará a partir das 20h e será aberta ao público.
